He was born in Fiume and began studying violin at the Musical Conservatory
of the Liburnicum capital city. After terminating his studies, he
enrolled in the Musical Academy of Lubiana obtaining the first and
second degree diploma and gaining the prestigious "France Preserne"
award. |
The winner of many
"Istria Nobilissima" competitions, he has been a part of the Symphony Orchestra
of the National Santa Cecilia Academy of Rome, at the same time carrying
out profitable chamber-concert activities as a violinist. He is the founder
of the instrument ensemble called "I CAMERISTI ITALIANI" (previously called
I CAMERISTI DI SANTA CECILIA), and favours the research and execution of
"original" compositions such as "La musica notturna delle strade di Madrid",
"Là dove il Quarnero", by Luigi D'onorà that is a piece expressly composed
and dedicated to him and the CAMERISTI ITALIANI. From this viewpoint we
find the recordings for "P&P Classica" of the Quintetto n° 2 in D major
by Boccherini, "Fandango" ("Perle del Barocco" - CDC 008-1998) and the present
Concerto in D major for Viola and Strings by Giuseppe Tartini that is an
unpublished recording.
